Dahi Vadai an extremely popular and tasty street food snack recipe made with urad dal fritters and dipped soaked in spiced creamy yoghurt sauce. it is one of the popular street foods of north india, if not of whole india and is often served as dessert snack. there are myriad ways to make this yoghurt dipped snack, but this recipe dedicates to the north indian street style variation.
This famous and simple snack consists of small fried balls of lentils (called vadas) dipped in a thick yogurt (known by its traditional name, dahi). Dahi vada is known, throughout India and other countries, by different names: dahi vade in Marathi, dahi valley or dahi barey in Urdu, dahi bhalla in Punjabi, thayir vadai in Tamil, perugu vada in Telugu, thairu vada in Malayalam, mosaru vade in Kannada, and doi bora in Bengali.
