White Forest Cake

The white Forest cake is a spongy layered vanilla cake of whipped cream and white chocolate. Our traditional white Forest preparation uses a clear liquid made using tart cherries, whipped cream and white chocolate shavings. Sour cherries and whipped cream is also used to generously decorate the white Forest cake. Typically, the white Forest gateau is made by layering several vanilla sponge cake portions sandwiched with whipped cream and cherries. It is decorated with additional whipped cream, maraschino cherries, and chocolate shavings. This white forest cake recipe uses eggs, all-purpose flour, granulated white sugar, melted unsalted butter, baking powder, vanilla extract.

 

White forest cake is my vanilla take on the traditional black forest cake. A super fluffy vanilla cake topped with chantilly cream and homemade cherry topping. White Forest Cake has fluffy vanilla cake layers filled with whipped white chocolate ganache and a cherry kirsch sauce. Frost the cake in a cream cheese buttercream frosting and decorate with fresh cherries for the most beautiful summer cake!
